Event Details

Abstract:
Companies often struggle with long term strategic planning because the choices that are available today are not sufficiently expansive. As a result, the longer-term strategic plan may have a low probability of success. To increase the likelihood of success, companies need two complementary growth engines that will expand the long-term strategic options while supporting near term strategies. This session will outline a framework that increases the probability of success for long-term strategic plans.

Key Take-Aways:

  • Framework to long term strategic planning, creating the required two complimentary programs enabling sustained growth
  • Insight on the “Exploit” program focuses on near term growth for the Core markets, whereas the “Explore” program focuses on longer term growth in new markets and exploring new business models
  • Fresh perspectives on how both programs are operated in parallel, but requires different “operating systems”
